Playing and creating music. I use programs such as Apple’s Logic X Pro and Ableton Live 9 to record the music I create. The music varies in genre, but it is something that I find to be both rewarding and therapeutic. The first instrument I learned was the Flute in the 5th grade for the school band. This was not my first choice. I wanted desperately to play the drums, but the band required that students have taken at least 2 years of piano lessons to try out for percussion. So, I started piano lessons, but found them to be restrictive and to be honest boring. I continued playing piano on my own and after two years left the student band, because my interest for the flute was not as intense as other instruments. After the piano my father bought me an electric guitar for my birthday when I was 14 and have been playing ever since. Then in high school I finally received a drum set as a gift from my parents and fulfilled my childhood dream to be a drummer. Today, I dabble with the drums, guitar, bass and piano.
