Experience
PNC Financial Services (May 2021 - December 2021)
Human Resources Intern
My first job in the HR field was an internship through PNC Financial Services. I began working for PNC about two weeks after I graduated university and did so remotely. Not only was this my first career-related job, but my first ever remote job. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic their entire HR Department was working remotely so they sent me a laptop and I bought a desk and set up my own home office. I learned a ton while at this job and the team I was assigned with were spectacular.
Some of my job functions there were:
Partnered with recruiters to onboard new employees.
Processed HRIS audits to include duplicate candidate management and course entry verification.
Created offer letters for new interns and developmental program candidates.
ASAP-Medical Staffing (August 2022 - May 2023)
Human Resources Specialist
Immediately after my internship I had to attend a mandatory school for my military occupation until May of 2022. Near the end of the summer after chipping away at job applications I was offered a position at a start-up medical staffing agency in Colorado Springs and took the opportunity.
What I did there:
Provide counseling to medical professionals on policies and procedures.
Collect, enter and audit employee documents, licenses, certifications, evaluations and medical requirements.
Assist with employee terminations, employee benefits inquiries, employment verifications, payroll tasks, and the new-hire process.
